006. sly or sad [s.o.s]
I’ve been captured in a fox’s den,
slid down like Alice, but never saw its end.
”Quit wishful thinking”, the sly fox said.
Yet I held a grip, even when my nails bled.
I saw foxes like you before - angry and mad.
The only thing they were trying to say - we are lonely and sad.
So on my way out, I kissed the hurt fox
and said, "You can die closed in a box,
or dig your sore paws in the dirt with no socks,
we will heal them and go for summery walks”.
I will help you climb out the tunnel with me,
on the top, we can lie in the meadow, and see,
if you wanna still hide or just let yourself feel,
maybe we will find the rabbit and drink the cold tea.
